Elise is so beautiful and such a lovely mix of you and Arnaud! And that first birthday cake for your friend is precious. I have lots of spare time here in Africa so I've been baking one cake a week and looking for great new recipes. I made a Red Velvet cake for the folks here, because it's a truly American dish. Am also in the very midst of med school applications-my primary ones are done and it's time for secondaries. But applying from Africa is tough work, I have to keep e-mailing my family and having them send faxes, letters, etc out for me. How's being a Mom? and a fourth year med student?
